Epic Loot

Epic Loot introduces special enhanced items with varying tiers and powerful set bonuses to your Rust experience. These items retain their maximum condition and cannot be reskinned. When you find your first piece, you'll receive a message explaining the system.

Epic Loot Tiers

Enhanced items come in different tiers, indicating their rarity and potential power:

• Legendary (S Tier)

• Epic (A Tier)

• Rare (B Tier)

• Uncommon (C Tier)

How to Get Epic Loot

You can acquire Epic Loot items through various activities:

Looting Containers & Corpses

There's a chance to find enhanced items when looting containers and NPC corpses.

• Crates:

  • Normal Crates: 15% chance

  • Tool Crates: 7.5% chance

  • Basic Underwater Crates: 15% chance

  • Advanced Underwater Crates: 20% chance

  • Elite Crates: 20% chance

  • Supply Drops: 12.5% chance

  • Heli Crates: 35% chance

  • Bradley Crates: 25% chance

  • Hackable Crates (Land/Oil Rig): 40% chance

• Barrels:

  • Barrel (Type 1): 1% chance

  • Barrel (Type 2): 2% chance

• NPC Corpses:

  • Heavy Scientist: 30% chance

  • Cargo Ship Scientist: 10% chance

  • Cargo Ship Turret Scientist: 10% chance

  • CH47 Gunner Scientist: 10% chance

  • Excavator Scientist: 10% chance

  • Full Scientist (Any/LR300/MP5/Pistol/Shotgun): 10% chance

  • Junkpile Pistol Scientist: 10% chance

  • Oil Rig Scientist: 10% chance

  • Patrol Scientist: 10% chance

  • Peacekeeper Scientist: 10% chance

  • Roam Scientist: 10% chance

  • Roam Tethered Scientist: 10% chance

Crafting

When crafting items, you have a 20% chance for your creation to become an enhanced Epic Loot item.

Mission Rewards

Completing missions from certain NPCs can reward you with Epic Loot items, often tied to specific set types:

• Fishing Village Missions: 25% chance to receive Fishermans, Scavengers, or Foragers sets.

• Bandit Camp Missions: 25% chance to receive Lumberjacks, Operators, or Transporters sets.

• Outpost Missions: 25% chance to receive Miners, Assassins, or Reinforced sets.

• Stables Missions: 25% chance to receive Jockeys, Builders, or Skinners sets.

Enhanced Item Shop

Look for the "Enhanced Item Shop" at the Random Trader for a selection of Epic Loot items available for purchase.

Raidable Bases

Epic Loot items can be found as prizes within Raidable Bases.

Fishing Contest Prizes

Special Epic Loot items are included as prizes in the Fishing Contest. These can include clothing like hoodies, pants, boots, beanies, sunglasses, gloves, and even the Handmade Fishing Rod, with various buff types.

Epic Loot Item Properties

• Durability: Epic Loot items will not lose maximum condition.

• Appearance: Epic Loot items cannot be reskinned.

• Horse Speed: Some Epic Loot items or sets can adjust your horse's run, trot, walk, and turn speeds.

Epic Loot Set Bonuses

Collect multiple pieces from the same Epic Loot set to unlock powerful bonuses. The more pieces you wear, the stronger the bonuses become!

Miners Set

Focuses on improving mining efficiency and resource gains.

• 2 Pieces: 25% Bonus Multiplier (general stat increase)

• 4 Pieces:

  • 10% Instant Mining (faster mining)

  • 20% Smelting (faster smelting)

  • 35% Bonus Multiplier

• 6 Pieces:

  • 20% Instant Mining

  • 30% Smelting

  • 65% Bonus Multiplier

  • 5% Miners Luck (chance to find bonus raw materials like Stone, Metal Ore, Sulfur Ore, HQM Ore, and more)

Lumberjacks Set

Enhances woodcutting and tree growth.

• 2 Pieces: 25% Bonus Multiplier

• 4 Pieces:

  • 10% Instant Woodcutting (faster woodcutting)

  • 10% Regrowth (faster tree respawn)

  • 35% Bonus Multiplier

• 6 Pieces:

  • 20% Instant Woodcutting

  • 20% Regrowth

  • 65% Bonus Multiplier

  • 5% Woodcutters Luck (chance to find bonus food, berries, teas, and more)

Skinners Set

Boosts skinning efficiency and cooking speed.

• 2 Pieces: 25% Bonus Multiplier

• 4 Pieces:

  • 10% Instant Skinning (faster animal skinning)

  • 50% Instant Cook (faster cooking)

  • 35% Bonus Multiplier

• 6 Pieces:

  • 20% Instant Skinning

  • 80% Instant Cook

Farmers Set

Increases general yield bonuses.

Foragers Set

Provides general yield bonuses.

Improves fishing and underwater capabilities.

Reduces research costs.

• 2 Pieces: 10% Bonus Multiplier

• 4 Pieces:

  • 10% Researcher (reduces research costs)

• 6 Pieces:

  • 50% Bonus Multiplier

Reinforced Set

Grants unique movement abilities and radiation resistance.

Items blacklisted from the Reinforced buff are: Green Keycard, Blue Keycard, Red Keycard.

• 4 Pieces:

  • 20% Bonus Multiplier

  • 50% Feline (grants the Double Jump ability)

  • 50% Lead (reduces radiation damage taken)
